The impact of war is not limited to humans only. Animals, especially pets, are also suffering from the consequences of war. Due to the ongoing conflict, many pet owners are leaving their furry friends behind while escaping the war zone. Moreover, street animals, who were already struggling to survive, are facing even greater challenges due to the lack of resources. The situation is getting worse as loud explosions are terrifying dogs in Ukraine, leading some mothers to abandon their puppies.
A woman named Svetlana came across an interesting situation where she found eight little pups in a hole. She reached out to Olena from Love Furry Friends Rescue seeking assistance. Svetlana had been looking after the puppies for several days since their mother was frightened away by an explosion.
For three days straight, the mother of the puppies was nowhere to be found, leaving them in dire need of assistance. Olena and her team quickly took action to rescue the puppies from their precarious situation. Despite the odds, they successfully retrieved all eight puppies – seven males and one female.
Upon taking the puppies to a vet, it was discovered that they were approximately 4 weeks old and unfit for separation from their mother. In light of this, they required considerable attention and care.
Despite the fact that many individuals have fled Ukraine, Olena and her rescue team have decided to remain there to continue their efforts in assisting animals that require aid. This is a courageous and commendable act that is incredibly essential, particularly for abandoned puppies that require care.
As the litter of eight adorable puppies continued to mature, Olena made sure they received proper veterinary care and showered them with lots of affection and attention.
